Years of careful planning led to the 1998 construction of this ideal romantic getaway in a setting that is peaceful and quiet, yet near all the area has to offer. This luxury bed & breakfast inn emphasizes comfortable elegance, quiet relaxation, and genuine hospitality for couples who treasure their time together. Guests are treated to an evening hors d'oeuvre along with 24-hour soft drinks from the guest pantry (bring your own alcohol if you wish). Glassware, ice, corkscrews, etc. are provided. With only nine guest rooms, several common areas, and almost 10 acres of grounds to explore, you can be assured of privacy and a restful atmosphere. Linger in our soothing perennial gardens with the sound of a rushing waterfall. Snooze in a hammock in the shade. Stargaze while soaking in our outdoor hot tub. Winter visitors love to borrow our snowshoes and go right out the front door. We have a great hill for tobogganing, too! Be sure to pack your slippers for just loafing around. Perhaps you would enjoy a game of checkers or billiards in the Game Room? Or curl up in front of the fireplace with a good book in the Sitting Room or the Solarium. Borrow a movie from our movie library; we even provide the popcorn. Book an in-room massage for the ultimate in relaxation! Recommended by the Boston Globe, New York Times, and USA Today. In the morning, savor a full candlelight breakfast in the window-walled breakfast room with tables set for two. In the warmer months, you'll be entertained by the hummingbirds, goldfinches, and chipmunks. On chilly mornings, we'll have a fire going in the fireplace. Homemade baked goods, fresh fruit, and three entree choices are offered daily. Some examples: an omelet with bacon, baby spinach, and gruyere cheese; a three-mushroom frittata made with locally foraged mushrooms and Vermont cheddar; classic Eggs Benedict with hollandaise sauce; cinnamon pancakes; or peaches and cream stuffed French toast. Of course, we use real Vermont maple syrup and other local products.

There is a dazzling array of choices--anything from haute cuisine to hamburgers--and not a single chain restaurant to be found. We have a list of favorites that we gladly share with our guests, and we would be happy to assist you in making reservations.
