The Bed and Breakfast sits on a bluff overlooking the historic town of Hot Springs, South Dakota. The site was selected in 1891 as the location of the "Sioux City Club," a gentlemen's gaming club. This exclusive club had several elegant suites and featured a two-story octagonal great room topped with a "poker room." In the Roaring Twenties Chicago multimillionaire F. O. Butler purchased the property and converted it into a guesthouse for his affluent friends. In 1990 the house was totally updated and opened as a Black Hills Bed & Breakfast. The inn boasts seven bedrooms, each with its own private bathroom, of which some have showers, some have bathtubs and one has a 2-person Jacuzzi tubs.
