The eight rooms/suites in the main house are in a Victorian style with antiques and period reproductions. All have private baths, air conditioning, custom bath robes, fresh flowers, chocolates and sherry,cable TV/DVD players, and queen or king size beds. Several of the rooms have large, double whirlpool tubs and one has a fireplace in the room. The two suites in the Carriage House offer fireplaces, double whirlpool tubs, full baths with towels made of Egyptian cotton, TVs, VCRs, AM/FM/CD/Cassette stereos, refrigerators, and coffee makers.

Breakfast is a memorable event at the Candleight Inn. While it is served in the Inn's formal dining room on a 108 year old oak table, the atmosphere is casual and relaxed. The breakfast is a three course meal that includes unlimited juices, home-blended coffees, and specialty teas. The first course is a fruit dish such as a baked pear with a walnut-raisin-spice stuffing. A "bread" course is next highlighted by home-baked scones, muffins, breakfast rolls, or breads. There is always a choice of entrees such as cheese strata and blueberry pancakes. Sunday breakfast is a 15 year tradition at the Inn and is always Eggs Benedict or a "stuffed" French Toast.

The area is noted for having many fine-dining restaurants. The Wildwoods has experienced a rapid growth in this area and the Greater Cape May area has many established ones. Our favorite is a relatively new restaurant, only 3 years old, located at the southern end of our Island. Marie Nicoles provides a fantastic menu original dishes and a noted winelist. Customers can purchase wines by the glass from an wide selection of really good wines. The decor is elegant but casual with beautiful bar made from cherry wood. During the warmer months, guests have the option of eating inside or outdoors. In addition to the fine food, the service is superb that starts from the time you are greeted by Ken upon arriving through dinner handled by an experience wait-staff. This is the perfect restaurant for that special occasion or those just wanting a meal to remember.

The most noted attraction for the Wildwoods is the beach and boardwalk. The island beaches are the widest on the New Jersey shore and do not require beach tags. The boardwalk, actually made of wood, has been in existence for more than 100 years and features several piers with amusement park rides. They claim that it contains more rides than the original Disneyland. Year-round attractions include lighthouses, zoo, antique shops, etc.

There are two special features of the Inn that our guests always enjoy. The main house has a large wrap-around porch where cool ocean breezes can be enjoyed on wooden rocking chairs, a double swing, or in the double hammock. A special highlight is to view the fireworks that occur every Friday evening during the summer (weather permitting). The other option is to relax year-round under a starlit sky in the hot-tub located on the patio deck.
