Maplevale Farm built in 1856 by John and Sarah Martindell. They raised their six children in the home. Malinda and John Anderson purchased Maplevale in 1999 and after remodeling opened their Bed and Breakfast in May of 2000. Located just one mile south of Miami University ( five minute drive). You will enjoy the lovely park like setting from our screened in back porch. We like to think that we are a warm and welcoming place to be while visiting Oxford and/or Miami University.

Guests that have stayed with us will be inserted into our Graduation/Family Weekend Database. We will email you when we open these dates and the first to respond will be staying at Maplevale Farm Bed and Breakfast.

Maplevale Farm consists of three very large rooms. All have satellite TV/DVD with 250 channels. Stereo Allarm AM/FM/CD radios and private baths. WI/FI throughout the B and B. Each room has its own set of lovely family antiques. Extra comfortable beds with suitable pillows.

McChesney Room-Electric flame stove(very romantic) Antique book cases from John''s great uncles law office and a cherry antique mirror.
Wallace Room-Antique Gotte prints adorn your room full of lovely family antiques.
You will enjoy a three course gourmet breakfast with freshly roasted every two weeks coffee ground each day. We also serve Ashby Tea of London. Breakfasts are John''s Wow Omelets, Malinda''s French Toast(assorted flavors), Duke''s Egg casseroles. Fresh fruit and juices also complement your breakfast. Antiques are throughout the dining room.
William Holmes McGuffey Museum was the home of professor Mcguffey during his tenure at Miami University, 1826 to 1836. He wrote volumes one and two of his McGuffey readers while at Miami. You will enjoy taking a tour of the Museum open Tuesday through Friday.
Meet Duke, Our chocolate lab greeter. He will show you around Maplevale and if you are not careful will give you a big kiss. You will love Duke and he will love you.
Duke will introduce you to the front columns which have Miami Indian pipes, arrow heads, and tommahawks imbedded in them. Columns were built by Harry Toebe about 1920.
