This secluded mountainside lodge with seven spacious cottages offers spectacular views, delicious food, and numerous recreation venues in a tranquil forestland setting. Created in 1934 and operated by four generations of the Washburn family, the Chalet’s concept and size has been preserved for those who wish to retreat from their daily lives to a place that seems a world away. B&B or All-Inclusive rate packages are offered which can include up to three meals per day and the use of on-site hiking trails, boats, water skiing instruction and tennis. Golf, horseback riding, in-room massage and visiting the local attractions at Lake Lure, Chimney Rock Park and the Biltmore Estate are also available.
